Marcelle Laguerre Cesar was born on December 18, 1949, to Jeanne Baguidy and Marcel Laguerre. She dedicated her life to serving others, becoming a beacon of hope and a powerful advocate for underserved populations in Haiti.

Marcelle founded the Manmi Cello Humanitarian Foundation, a transformative organization aimed at promoting social welfare through humanitarian aid, educational resources, and community support. With a deep commitment to empowerment, she worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for many, fostering a positive vision for the future of Haiti.

Marcelle was not only a humanitarian but also a well-respected spiritual leader. Her insights and teachings resonated with many, both in Haiti and abroad, earning her recognition from scholars and authors who cited her important work. She was a guiding light for many, emphasizing the importance of community and collaboration in achieving sustainable change.​
​​As the founder of JacHaf, Marcelle focused her efforts on serving children in the provinces of Jacmel, particularly in the area of Lakou Gariche in Mont Fleurie. Her outreach programs provided essential resources and support, helping to uplift families and nurture the next generation.

Marcelle Laguerre Cesar passed away on September 23, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and resilience. She is survived by her four children and six grandchildren. Her dedication to empowering others continues to inspire those who follow in her footsteps, ensuring that her vision for a brighter future lives on in the hearts of many.
